Title:Factory JohnGenre:Puzzle
Developer:RedXIIIYear:1999
Description:A puzzle game with the gameplay based on the "pushing blocks" concept. In other words, a Sokoban clone. A well executed game featuring 15 levels, but relatively easy ones. The graphics are quite good, but not much varied (very small number of different tiles). MIDI background music.

Title:Fatal ChoiceGenre:Action
Developer:Nathan Wallis & Elias HolmlidYear:1997
Description:An average action/puzzle game. The player controls some kind of vehicle and must escape the alien prison he is in. The player needs to avoid/destroy enemies and turn switches in order to finish a level. The graphics are mediocre. Black background. Tiles and sprites are well shaded, but the graphics are composed quite badly (incoherent and weird tiles). Your vehicle moves too slow for the game to be enjoyed properly and the level design is boring. Many levels and nice menus and presentation. The package includes a level editor. Nice Sound Blaster sound effects.

Title:Femme FatalityGenre:Action
Developer:BadMrBoxYear:2002
Description:A poor but somewhat interesting cat-fighting game. Below average graphics and non-existent challenge. To beat the game the player only needs to hold one of the attack keys. Nice attempt, but unsuccessful. No sound or music.

Title:Fight! ver.2.0Genre:Action
Developer:JiM ProductionsYear:1998
Description:A terrible ASCII fighting game without any play value in it. This is only a two human players game. The controls are based on the INKEY$ statement so only one(1) key in any given moment is responsive. Each fighter has two attacks available and can move only left or right. Despite the effort and smart usage of ASCII characters, this is a completely unplayable game.

Title:Four In A RowGenre:Puzzle
Developer:Philip PerryYear:2000
Description:A connect 4 game with poor and flickerish graphics, but it's playable. The game can be played only against a computer opponent. The AI is solid.

Title:FoXGenre:Platform
Developer:George Gardiner & Steve McAuleyYear:2001
Description:Excellent platform game with great graphics which are, sadly, mostly taken from other games. Still, it's all compiled very nicely. Fox features 13 levels, story, virtual GameBoy Color you can play between levels, excellent Sound Blaster music and sound effects and very good gameplay. One of the best platform games in QBasic, but very difficult.

Title:France '98 World Cup Soccer DemoGenre:Action
Developer:PascoYear:1998
Description:Demo of a soccer game, but not very flexible and playable. You can only play against a computer opponent and you can't pick the teams. Few bugs are present in the demo. The demo also features Sound Blaster sound effects. Since this is one of few (if not the only) soccer game in QBasic, it's worth being checked.

Title:Frantic Journey DemoGenre:Action
Developer:Adigun Azikiwe PolackYear:2003
Description:This is the last QBasic demo of Frantic Journey, an excellent space shooter. The graphics are very good, but not most successfully compiled. Excellent sound effects, but powered by DS4QB (you have a no sound version available). I'm not terribly amazed with Frantic Journey at this point, but it can grow into a great space shooter if some of the mistakes in graphical design are fixed. This project has been continued in FreeBASIC. The no sound version is a 668 KB big file (extra download).

Title:Free FallGenre:Action
Developer:RSTYear:2003
Description:A simple but addictive game where you control a space ship and need to avoid "mines". There is also the gravity effects that pulls you toward one side of the screen. Free Fall was made for the one key challenge. Very little different content in the game, but like I said, addictive gameplay. For better control of the ship tap on the SPACE key, don't hold it!

Title:Free Lilly !Genre:Puzzle
Developer:Dieter CasparyYear:2000
Description:A simple but entertaining puzzle game. Your objective in this game is to delete all the colored blocks and "free" the nice lady (he-he) behind them. You can only delete blocks of the same color that are connecting. The game includes several pictures of pretty ladies.

Title:Fro-NibblerGenre:Action
Developer:Fro Moe SoftwareYear:2002
Description:A solid Nibbles game. It features nothing exceptional, but succeeds in its simplicity. Level-based gameplay where you need to survive for two minutes in each level while eating food. As you eat food the snake gets longer. No sound or music. Too bad the game's default top scores table is empty.

Title:Fundee!Genre:Action
Developer:Lost socK softwareYear:2003
Description:A quite amusing game created for the one key challenge, where you had to create a game controlled with one key (the very game, not the menus, etc). Fun graphics and good gameplay. You need to hit the stickmen with a tomato that walk across the screen and mock you. As the levels advance the stickmen run faster. Not much varied content in the game. No sound effects or music.

Title:FuryGenre:Action
Developer:M \ K ProductionsYear:1996
Description:A simple mouse controlled shooting game. Use your mouse too aim and kill the enemies who keep popping on the screen. The graphics are made by composing photos so the game looks a bit like a joke. Very good sound effects. It's a rather difficult game if you don't use the cheats (in the readme file). Also, the game is very short.

Title:Future BlocksGenre:Puzzle
Developer:Michael FoglemanYear:2000
Description:A nice Tetris clone featuring several game modes and a huge amount of options. What is cool is that this Tetris clone comes with an AI and you can compete against the computer! Average hi-res (640*480) graphics. No music or sound effects.
