Title: | Absorb | Genre: | Action | Developer: | Digital Chaos
| Year: | 2003 | | |||
Description: | Black and white (monochrome) collector game where you control a beam and with it collect designated objects inside a specific level. The gameplay is ok and somewhat addictive, but the game is very short and the graphics are rather subpar. Objects in the levels are randomized every time you play a new game so the replay value is not that bad. Also, the package includes a level editor. Overall, not enough content for a higher score.

Title: | Adventures of Joe Trilogy, The | Genre: | RPG | Developer: | Unknown | Year: | 1998

Title: | Adventures of SandDude, The | Genre: | Platform | Developer: | Scott Piper and Gopus | Year: | 1999
Description: | An ok platform game, but very short, and containing few notable bugs. The game only contains two easy level and as third level you get a room with "THE END" written in it. It seem like something packed in a hurry. Nice graphics and a potential platform engine. Worth being checked out, but way to easy and short. Minimal Sound Blaster sound effects.

Title: | Adventures, The | Genre: | Platform | Developer: | TMB | Year: | 1999
Description: | A below average platform game featuring poor controls and clumsy gameplay. The game features relatively average graphics, nice presentation and amusing design. It doesn't seem to be completely finished, despite the fact that nothing of this is mentioned in the game's readme file. The game comes with minimal Sound Blaster sound effects.

Title: | Aergere Andere | Genre: | Puzzle | Developer: | Folker Fritz | Year: | 2003
Description: | A computer version of a noctorius board game whose title I don't know in English. A turn-based game where you throw a dice and move your peons over the board. Nicely done game in 640*480 graphic resolution. You can play against human and/or computer opponents. The game is on German, but you can manage without understanding German.

Title: | Ahib el Mushman - The Oil Adventure | Genre: | Action | Developer: | Pc72 | Year: | 2002
Description: | A nice hi-res (640*350) game featuring oil collecting. The game objective is to collect all the oil inside a specific level. There is a lot of bonus items you can pick up and an enemy you need to avoid. You can kill that enemy and destroy certain obstacles with a pickaxe you carry. The graphics are in hi-res mode and very nicely done, especially the animations of the characters. On the other hand, levels don't feature any background, only tiles, oil, bonus items and characters. The biggest problem of The Oil Adventure is the gameplay. It's highly doubtful since each level is randomized every time you play it. This includes the number of oil drops you need to pick up, time limit and obstacles, so sometimes it’s simply impossible to finish a certain level. Also, when you finish a level you need to exit it through a door that only appears for a second. You need to be very careful (and lucky) in that moment so you wouldn’t miss the exit location. Not sure if this is a bug. The package includes a level editor.

Title: | Ahib el Mushman II - Building Trouble | Genre: | Platform | Developer: | Pc72 | Year: | 2002
Description: | A weak platform game with too many technical imperfections (flickering, poor keyboard handler). The graphics are ok, but rather monotonous and the gameplay is average. The game features 100 levels, but all easy and all after level 5 are randomized and look very similar.

Title: | AhiBombers ver.1.0b | Genre: | Action | Developer: | Pc72 | Year: | 2005
Description: | A Bomberman clone with ok gameplay, but poorly coded. The movement is jerky because the designer used the INKEY$ statement and some clunky bomb to player collision is present. Potential game, but needed a lot more polish. Levels are randomized, but you can create your own. Ok graphics, but very little of it.

Title: | AIIB Beta ver.9 | Genre: | Action | Developer: | RabidMoth | Year: | 1999
Description: | A demo of a very cool top down space shooter. It's one of the most impressive looking games in QBasic featuring a really cool smart-zooming effect. This demo features only 10 missions and the gameplay feels too fast-paced for my taste. Perhaps the game is meant to be played on slower speed. This demo doesn't feature any music or sound effects. The package includes a mission editor. Recommended for collectors.

Title: | Air Attack | Genre: | Action | Developer: | Solid Rock Software | Year: | 1997
Description: | A cool 3D aircraft shooter game. The 3D engine is relatively simple and "hacked" in few places, but the very game is quite enjoyable to play. You fly around (using your mouse) over a flat terrain (with few pyramids scattered around) and hunt down other aircrafts. You have two weapons at your disposal, and the game features a nice auto-tracking system. Not much varied content in the game, and no sound or music.

Title: | Air Unit Z | Genre: | Action | Developer: | Sampsunk Games | Year: | 1998
Description: | A rather poorly designed shooter. It features level-based gameplay, with progressive story and bosses. The gameplay is so-so. An option for two human players simultaneous mode is available. Weak graphics and subpar coding prevails. You might need a slowdown utility to play this game.

Title: | Alex David - Bane Of Suburbia | Genre: | RPG | Developer: | Ryan Doromal | Year: | 1996

Title: | ALEXsoft's Arkanoid | Genre: | Action | Developer: | Aleksander Trojanowski | Year: | 2001
Description: | A solid Arkanoid clone featuring average graphics and somewhat clunky ball-to-paddle physics. The game features ok Sound Blaster sound effects. The gameplay is good, but the game is very easy since powerups are spawn quite often and most of them are very beneficial. 20 levels. Below average level design (with the exception of 2 or 3 levels). A level editor is included in the package.

Title: | Alien Terror | Genre: | Action | Developer: | BINARYmagic | Year: | 2000

Title: | Aliens | Genre: | Action | Developer: | Steve Protulipac | Year: | 1994

Title: | Ambush At South Range | Genre: | Action | Developer: | M \ K Productions | Year: | 1994
Description: | A very poor and stupid action game. You play some guy who barges into a school with a goal to kill everyone. Very poor code, insulting design, horrible controls (INKEY$) and very poor graphics. The game runs too fast on modern PCs.

Title: | Ambush At South Range II | Genre: | RPG | Developer: | M \ K Productions | Year: | 1995
Description: | A very poor RPG with terrible graphics and poor gameplay. Turn-based battles. Stupid story (blood bath in school). The game runs too fast on modern PCs and enemies attack you in real time so you'll need some sort of slowdown utility to be able to play the game. The game displays obvious lack of skill in all aspects, but it looks like a lot of effort was put into it. Still, that’s not enough.

Title: | Anal - The Rectum Adventures | Genre: | Action | Developer: | Blitz | Year: | 2003

Title: | Ancient Heroes | Genre: | RPG | Developer: | Mark Henshaw | Year: | 2006
Description: | An average, text-based, role-playing fighting game. The player chooses one of several heroes available and fights his/her way through stages by battling various warriors. The game features a rather limited amount of options, but the interface is well designed. The game also lacks depth and more important, a save game feature since the player can die easily. The battle engine seems to be well developed. No music or sound effects.

Title: | Anima Games Bonus Collection | Genre: | Action | Developer: | Anima Games | Year: | 2004

Title: | Ants: The Exodus | Genre: | Puzzle | Developer: | MHSoft | Year: | 2002
Description: | An interesting and original puzzle/action game. You control an ant who needs to set up a safe path by placing arrows, killing enemies and moving bricks, before releasing the ant princesses who need to reach the level exit without dieing. The graphics are not very good, but having in mind the entire design of the game, story and great gameplay, this is a very nice game. 640*350 graphic resolution.

This game features a quite cool vector graphics 3D engine. The player can rotate his ship, but it's some sort of 3D/2D hybrid game.
